A Workshop for Female Postdocs & late stage PhD students in Science, Engineering & Psychology

Lovett Columns

This workshop provides a unique opportunity for prospective women faculty to learn from faculty leaders across science, engineering, and psychology. The informal format allows participants and faculty to interact, relax, build relationships, and learn from each other. In addition to learning invaluable skills and perspectives, workshop participants receive feedback about their technical presentations and have individual meetings with department chairs and senior faculty at Rice University.

Part of the application process is the option to be included in Rice University's NSF ADVANCE Program's National Database of Female PhD students and Postdocs. This database is a way for female PhD's and Postdocs to have their application information accessible not only to Rice University departments, but to other institutions nationally and internationally who have active faculty searches. Information about the database has been sent to over 700 faculty in schools of natural sciences, engineering, and psychology. If you are applying for the workshop and wish to be included in the database, check the appropriate answer in the application.
